About Me
I am an Indian photographer, who grew up in the heart of a diverse cultural background of Kolkata. I moved to the U.K. in 2003 and I continue to travel extensively and shoot what I want to show the world. Over the past couple of decades, my vision has slowly evolved I have become keen to “discover” the world we live in and the people and their culture we come across- both far and near.
Despite my busy schedule as a doctor, I have continued my passion for photography which gives me personal space where I regularly rediscover my inner self and it allows me to have a break from the day-to-day busy life and takes me into a whole different world which I enjoy immensely.
My travel features have been published in the National Geographic Traveller UK and Wanderlust UK. My recent documentary work has been published in The Guardian, and The Royal Photography Society Contemporary Group and Lynn News. I have also published some of my self-directed documentary projects in the People’s Archive of Rural India.
My work has been published in the Travel Photographer of the Year Journey Two and has been exhibited in London (Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition & Travel Photographer of the Year Exhibition). I have been awarded at The Humanity Photo Awards (UNESCO and CFPA).
I enjoy being a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) and I am a member of the Contemporary Group and The Digital Imaging Group of the RPS.
